The story of RuggedSurvivor


RuggedSurvivor lives in a Minecraft-like universe - that reflects the real universe circa 1850s

Grugs B. aka the "RuggedSurvivor" appears human-like and looks like a 35 (in earth years) year old.

Grugs lives among a small community in a place known as Wulfhaven. This place is located in a temporate/cold, with lots of hills and mountains, and generally heavily forested biome - similar to parts of the nothern USA or Canada. The community has an important collection of mines where metal ores are mined. The community is semi-agrarian, but known among other cities/communities for metallurgy, iron and steel production, tool design/production, carpentry, and woodworking. 

Grugs is a skilled builder, metallurgy expert, blacksmith, and hunter.

Before the "great blizzard" (?) .. Grugs has a significant other, Baninda (?), and cares for his elderly parents. 

Grugs is out hunting in the forest when a sudden blizzard quickly develops. Grugs doesn't know it, but it is the "great blizzard" 

Grugs decides to try to find shelter and comes to some caves. He sees that the cave appears to go deeper (because he can see the top of the cave above the rubble) but the entry at ground-level is blocked off by collapsed rubble/rocks. Grugs clears the rubble, moving some heavy stones out of the way. Underneath and behind the rubble he cleared, Grugs finds something very perculiar to him, a sort of android that is non-operational. Grugs has no idea what this is because he has never seen anything like it and he is fascinated. The Blizzard rages on while Grugs moves more inside the cave with the dead android. He can see that the android is dirty and a little beat up so he carefully cleans it up a little.

Androigo is the android saved by Grugs. 

Androigo is powered by advanced batteries that charge by either solar panel (which he has a few of) or by connecting to its ship. Androigo's ship has a small nuclear reactor/generator, but that generator is too big to work in Androigo.

Androigo comes from another planet far away from Grug's planet. Androigo came to Grug's planet after hundreds of years of space travel - traveling at close to the speed of light. The planet that Androigo comes from, named Terprimo, has very advanced technology. Terprimo has advanced AI, AGI, and a shrinking population of intelligent biological lifeforms along with advancing artifical and machine intelligence. It is a peaceful planet, but it orbits a star that is likely to undergo a phase transformation in the next 10,000 years that will make normal (biological) life on the planet impossible. The Terprimians are not seeking a new planet to inhabit, but they do seek to preserve the knowledge and technology they have acquired and share that knowledge and technology on to other lifeforms in the universe if possible.

Grug's planet was selected as one of many that the intelligent beings on Terprimo determined were worth physically exploring because it fell in the "goldilocks zone for life. The ultimate goal of this exploration is to gain understanding and perhaps help other life advance in ways that generally improve living experiences and advancement. Androigo was built to collect data, paricularly DNA of any lifeforms it can manage to safely (without harming those lifeforms) and return with this information to Terprimo where more executive decisions could be made with the exploritory findings. Androigo was designed to learn languages and otherwise interract with intelligent lifeforms if it were to encounter any. Androigo's ship is designed to work with Androigo. Androigo can communicate wirelessly with its ship up to 500 kilometers away from it.

Androigo, when charged enough, can manipulate matter and tempurature of small volumes of space - usually in cuboid shapes of 3D space.

Androigo was only on Grug's planet for a few decades and had collected data on the plants and smaller creatures of the forest biome. It stil needed to analyze the DNA of a wolf. TO collect DNA from a living organism, Androigo need to insert a needle into that organism and collect a few living cells.
Androigo attempted to gather information from a wolf, but was chased into some caves by a pack of wolves. Some wolves came from the top of the hillside/cave and were on top of the hill with the cave when the cave partially collapsed, partially burrying Androigo in the rubble. 


Androigo comes back to life after being lightly cleaned and brought back into sunlight by Grugs.

Androigo and Grugs are stuck in a cave together for a couple days while a blizzard rages outside. They learn to communicate to each other a tiny bit.

At some point Androigo sees Grugs struggling to make a fire and Androigo is able to help him start the fire using matter and temperature manipulation technology.

Androigo get's Grugs's DNA information.

Androigo convinces Grugs to follow it to its ship.

In the ship, Grugs learns more about Androigo and what Androigo and the ship are trying to do and where they came from.

Grugs returns to his town to find it mostly deserted, most homes still burried in snow. Banina and Grug's parents are not there but left a note.. 

At some point Androigo and Grugs design and build the "wand axe" - a tool for Grugs that gives Grugs the ability to manipulate matter and temperature of small areas of space.

At some point Androigo and the ship are able to genetically modify Grugs to live longer - 2 to 3 times what Grugs would have (so from about 70-80 earth years to about 200 earth years).
